Earl C. Trefry, Jr., CLU, the founder of Member Benefits (formerly known as BPC Financial), graduated from the University of Florida in 1972. Earl, a.k.a. Chip, has spent most of his career specializing in helping professionals with their insurance and planning needs.
Incorporated October 1, 1984, under the laws of The State of Florida and domiciled in Jacksonville, Florida, the company was formed expressly to provide professionals and their small businesses with specialized insurance products and advice. Member Benefits began working with associations by providing the Duval County Bar Association with an exclusive individual non-cancellable Disability Income product offering in 1985. This program was offered to The Florida Bar in 1987, initiating The Florida Bar’s relationship with Member Benefits. Since that time, Member Benefits has developed and enhanced a complete array of products and services designed for association members and their small businesses. Built on its long-standing reputation for taking good care of association members, Member Benefits has expanded its services to more associations and affinity groups throughout the country becoming a national leading provider of association member benefits solutions.
